The position of Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs is currently held by Dr. Omar Hassan Hamid, a lecturer. This position represents the academic and scientific aspect of the College of Engineering, as it includes several divisions and units that are in contact with student affairs in postgraduate and undergraduate studies, in addition to following up on scientific research presented by faculty members and everything related to conferences, seminars and workshops in the college.
